At Hobsons Bathrooms, we recently completed this stylish shower room installation in Gateshead, transforming the space into a modern, practical and low-maintenance bathroom designed for everyday living.
The finished room combines contemporary grey tones with crisp white furniture and chrome fittings, creating a clean and timeless design that feels both spacious and inviting.
Walk-In Shower with Metro Tile PVC Wall Panels
The focal point of this installation is the generous 1700mm x 700mm anti-slip shower tray, paired with a 1000mm wet room screen to create a sleek walk-in showering area. The enclosure has been finished with Metro Tile PVC wall panels, delivering the classic appearance of traditional metro tiles whilst offering the benefits of a fully waterproof, grout-free surface that is easy to clean and maintain.
The shower itself features a thermostatic riser shower complete with a waterfall shower head and separate handset, providing both comfort and practicality for daily use.
Modern Furniture and Smart Features
To maximise storage without compromising on style, we installed a spacious 1100mm gloss white L-shaped vanity unit alongside a matching back-to-wall WC. The gloss finish helps reflect light around the room, enhancing the bright and airy feel of the space.
To provide additional storage, a matching gloss white wall-mounted tall boy unit was also installed. Its slimline design offers generous space for toiletries and everyday essentials while maintaining the clean, uncluttered appearance of the room.
Above the vanity sits a Bluetooth LED mirror, combining practical illumination with integrated technology to create a contemporary focal point and add a touch of luxury to the room.
Contemporary Finishes Throughout
The shower enclosure is complemented by dark grey concrete-effect wall boards on the surrounding walls, creating a striking contrast against the white furniture and metro-style shower panels.
For the flooring, anthracite marble-effect LVT was chosen to provide a durable, warm and comfortable surface underfoot while tying together the room’s modern grey colour scheme.
The ceiling has been finished with gloss white ceiling panels and LED downlights, helping to maximise light throughout the room and create a bright, fresh atmosphere.
Chrome brassware, trims and accessories complete the installation, adding a clean contemporary finish that works perfectly with the room’s overall design.
